Common Questions

Everything you need to know about Eyekiosk. Can't find what you're looking for? Get in touch.

Eyekiosk runs in a web browser, so you need a touchscreen device with a camera—like a tablet, all-in-one PC, or dedicated kiosk hardware. No special software installation required. For best results, use a device with at least a 10" screen.

We use augmented reality to overlay frames on the customer's face in real-time via the device camera. Customers can browse frames and instantly see how each one looks on them. The AR works directly in the browser—no app download needed.

The camera-based PD measurement provides a good estimate for most customers. We recommend verifying with a manual measurement for high prescriptions or progressive lenses. Customers can also enter their PD manually if they already know it.

Yes. Prescription images and customer data are stored securely with row-level security, meaning each practice can only access their own orders. All data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption.

Each kiosk is linked to a practice, and practices can manage their own frame inventory. You control which frames appear on your kiosk through the admin dashboard.

We support card payments via Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay where available. You can also enable manual checkout mode if you prefer to collect payment separately (in-person, invoice, etc.).
